Cast your mind back 2 years or so.
The USA was the Environmental Villain.
Europe was the hero - spouting the usual nonsense: "We'll just have to cut back to a simpler lifestyle, bla bla bla..."
I mentioned at the time that the USA was going to make the greatest contribution, not by cutting back, but by technology.
Here we are - One step closer to limitless clean energy.

You are not familiar enough with the issues. Catastrophic anthropogenic global warming is, with all due respect to you sir, a fraud perpetrated by those who wish to control the populace and prevent the populations of China and India from rising to their rightful place at the top of the food chain.

interesting - they are saying climate change is a fraud - could be true, i'm just not qualified.
Remember tho. Fision Reactors do have toxic by producs but a fusion reactor burns up the spent fuel. Also I think you get a lot more energy out - although I'm not an expert.

Yea, I'm all for nuclear applications in the right places... it's not a panacea, for many reasons.

Fusion power generation would be great, but it's still at least ten years to a possible pilot project and probably twenty to a world-wide roll out - which may be too late.
Meanwhile, the US will need to cut back in the same way as everybody else.
